2024 I KŪ NĀ LOEA FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

With the help of a generous donation made by Hāna alum Gabe von Wellsheim, owner of Aloha Solar Power, Ma Ka Hana Ka ʻIke presents I Kū Nā Loea, a financial assistance opportunity for graduating seniors of Hāna High School ready to take the next step in their academic, vocational, and/or professional journey.
$15,000 will be awarded to up to 3 winners. The winners will be announced at graduation in May.
I Kū Nā Loea Qualifications
Must be a Hāna High School senior, graduating in May of 2024
Must submit a complete initial application before beginning the project process
I Kū Nā Loea Process and Deadlines
By February 29, 2024 at midnight: Submit a complete initial application, then Ma Ka Hana Ka ʻIke will follow up with you
From March 11-April 30: Start and execute your community service project
This is a key component of I Kū Nā Loea where you identify a community need, come up with a solution to fill that need, and create and implement your solution here in our community
By April 30 at midnight: Submit at least one (1) Recommendation Form completed by a mentor of your choice (teacher, coach, etc. but not immediate relative; an immediate relative is a grandparent, parent, or sibling)
From May 2-9: Ma Ka Hana Ka ʻIke will conduct interviews with each of you and you will present your final project and/or product
By May 10: Winners will be selected
